The Environmental Health Field

The Sacramento County Environmental Management Department works to reduce the incidence of illness or injury for the people who live, work and play in our community. Our principle responsibilities are to monitor and enforce regulations of the California Health & Safety Code, and County of Sacramento Ordinances. The Department of Environmental Health is composed of three Divisions:
