Register a Complaint / Report A Violation

 

For most complaints and reports of violations, the Sacramento County Environmental Management Department utilizes the Sacramento County Information Center.

 

Customer service representatives are available Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., excluding major holidays, at 916-875-5656 or you can report a complaint on-line. The knowledgable service representatives at the Information Center will make sure your complaint or concern is routed to the correct County department or division in a timely manner.

 

Please note:  Due to the time-sensitive nature of food borne illness investigations, EMD asks that you report any suspected case of food borne illness  or food poisoning directly to this office by calling 916-875-8440 during normal business hours, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our front desk personnel will complete a foodborne illness questionnaire over the phone.  The questionnaire includes several questions about the date and time of the food consumed, food consumed by people who you dined with, as well as symptoms and medical treatment/testing you may have received. 

 

This information from the questionnaire helps the program program specialists identify the potential problem areas when they conduct the foodborne illness investigation.
